I am an alcoholic in recovery. I also love to fish, especially fly fishing. If you are struggling - please reach out. Sobriety date: 07/25/2018 #RecoveryPosse

Yesterday I celebrated 8 years of sobriety. Also, early this morning I received a call from my daughter that her car broke down on her way home from the Los Angeles area. I drove to pick her up. The engine is toast.
Because of sobriety I was there for her. ♥️
@ZOrtiz99 Yeah! Right on! Based on my own personal experience - I hope you crack the door open on a Higher Power - it is critical. Please get a sponsor, read the first 164 pages, and start on the steps.
I am very happy for you - please, keep going!
@HistoryBoutique @matt_vanswol Most people in recovery are like this, it is a common thread among us. I am glad he has your support. It goes both ways. There are good men out there - regardless of their addiction status.
Thank you for sending this out. ♥️🙏
@lololeereverie Revisions suck. I am a professional artist, not an author, but the same applies. Doing revisions can be (are) mind numbing and I have done the same as you here. Well, not cutting my bangs and certainly not the top (which is very pretty). I am sure you'll get it done.
@crowellalove Way to go Manda! 2 weeks is TOUGH! I struggle for 1.5 years when I first started my sobriety journey. 2 weeks seems like an impossibility.
I hope your journey continues - please know that if you ever need to reach out during a difficult time - please DO! I am deeply serious.
@littleapostate Congratulations! Please keep going. Hit a difficult time? Reach out to people, preferably fellow alcoholic in recovery.
3 months is very difficult and I applaud your efforts. Please, please be careful of the thought, “I’ve got this.”
It can grab you and bring you down. ❤️
@AVGirl4Life Because I am an alcoholic - sober for 6.5 yrs - my drinking career was relatively short lived but nearly took my life and destroyed my family. Sadly, alcohol is very destructive even for those who do not drink like I did.
I've never been more happy.
@NicholasKruge Have you considered attending an AA meeting? I doubt you’ll see this but please reach out - let me give you some strength. You’re not alone brother.
2291 days ago I got sober. Since then I’ve worked very hard to maintain my sobriety and gain my career back. On Monday I will be starting a position that is the best of my life. In nearly all respects.
If you’re new to sobriety-you CAN get better. I promise. #RecoveryPosse

Tomorrow I start a new job. It will be difficult but I’m so grateful. Too much to explain here, but the opportunity is an intense #GodShot. If you’re new to sobriety please know there IS hope, even if it feels like there isn’t for you right now. I promise!
@thesoberheathen It’s both. Not everyone is predisposed to addiction. Nearly everyone is for physical addiction (not just alcohol); however, the mental/emotional addiction that occurs with long term abuse is an individual phenomenon.
@Sober_lifestyl One of my biggest joys is watching someone come alive when they get sober. The transformation can be a wonderful event. Granted it isn’t an overnight phenomenon- progress not perfection.
Congratulations of your journey!!
