Demolition is underway at 2600 N. Clark St. at Wrightwood! The long-vacant former Dunlay’s/Affordable Portables site will no longer be a major eyesore along one of our most promising and busiest commercial corridors.

Chicago will officially ban city employees, officials from using non-public info to participate in platforms like @Kalshi and @Polymarket. @AldKnudsen43's measure clarifies a gray area in city ethics code to prohibit those on city payroll using that info in prediction markets.

Right now, a football field-sized utility project can move through the same process as a small neighborhood installation. Our legislation creates stronger review standards for projects with larger footprints and broader neighborhood impacts near homes, schools, and transit.

Today, Sen. Sara Feigenholtz and I introduced coordinated city and state legislation to strengthen community review requirements for large utility projects like the proposed ComEd substation at 1111 W. Diversey. Communities deserve a real seat at the table.
