@alfcorazzin I had hopes of an Indian summer for Garner tbf. Think the play-offs may be his swansong. If we add another striker I'd be happy enough with Quigley to mix it up.
Absolutely no truck with Quigley, know next to nothing about him.
Slightly amused tho at those adamant Mellon always knows best, then sign off by saying once we get rid of Waters/Harratt we'll be flying...

@alfcorazzin I thought Mellon had run his course. Absolute fair play he got job done and won me over. I genuinely don't really know what to expect of this season. My point was some fans now have him down as somewhere btw Pep and Fergie. As you say, 3 of his strikers could be surplus.
@oafc_prozac It's definitely miles more physical. I got freebies a couple of times for Harrogate last season and it worried me how physical/quicker it was than NL. Most teams I saw made us like a tiki-taka side mind. Zero football played.
@gazapalooza @oafc_prozac I think we need at least one more striker, but agree fed on scraps thus far. Not sure anyone would have thrived in either game tbh. Yogi definitely going to be the biggest miss. Bang average until he got us playing.
@gazapalooza @oafc_prozac Strongest XI gives a really solid base imo, but it needs a bit of magic adding up top. Pretty much the same complaint for all of last season pre-Yogi getting his run. Be surprised if Micky is desperate for a no.10 tho. Hope I'm wrong.
Five minutes into Smurfs film at cinema and realised it's a musical. With James Corden as the lead. As filmmaking goes, it's a fine advert for vasectomies.
From working in it to falling out of love with modern football, yesterday was a reminder there's nothing that even comes close.
Sat with my old man and brother watching our kids fall in love with Oldham the same way we did at their age 35+ years ago, just can't be topped #oafc
@stanleylatic I live in Harrogate now (derby next season) so had to get kids back to school Monday. Party looked great, my two would have loved it. Was great see how much it meant to players. I was reminiscing about squeezing about 8 lads in my dad's car every match.
@stanleylatic Hey mate. I meant to message you, thought you'd be going. Saw Adam and Jamie for the first time in years. Was definitely an emotional one. We were talking about all meeting up for first home game. I'll let you know - be great to catch up.
To the coked up Southend fan who screamed 'fuck off Oldham' at my 7-year-old daughter, can't wait til your heart gives out when Fondop bags the winner.
