a) fat people don’t need to be fuckable to be deserve humanity
b) penelope’s body type was SO desirable for the era, so this convo is so painful
but also, crucially,
c) if you don’t find nicola coughlan hot, that’s a you problem! that’s a skill issue! embarrassing for you tbh!
@village_witch I enjoyed Master of Djinn a lot but remember very little about it. Great descriptions of 1920s Cairo and butch fashion
The Golem and the Djinni was incredible. A quieter story about two inhuman immigrants to 1902 New York, trying to be human
Happy to answer this question. What is so beautiful about a man wearing a fishnet veil and what appears to be an overcoat woven of shredded garbage bags?
people should make more noise about this series tbh. it’s such a masterclass in emotions and politics. general ouyang INVENTED being doomed by the narrative.
One day we have to acknowledge the elephant in the room and have industry people explain to us why these awful people end up being some of the luckiest ones, getting agented over and over again and allowed to get huge book deals
this just reminds me that most of what we see as “dystopian” in fiction is real and happening to black and brown people around the world every day, funded, facilitated, and fully approved by the united states and its minions
I'm in an anthology with my fellow @ViableParadise 2023 alums.
Get a chance to read our stories about gods, clones, show girls, and more before we're famous, plus stories from Elizabeth Bear and Daryll Gregory.

4 more free covid tests are available through https://t.co/TVyLaVh2Fg starting today!! I signed up my entire family as well as my entire apartment building lol. All you need is someone's name and address.
I learned to balance a fantasy and romance plot. I hit expectations and beats for both.
I built a world, then used the romance to show that world.
I made the tension sizzling and the politics tense.
I love writing romantasy, but it's not easy.
