The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect.  Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life.

This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public. 

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.

🔺قاری عباس ولد محمد شریف خان ساکنہ نتھگراں کوٹلی تحصیل دھیر کوٹ ضلع باغ آزاد کشمیر نے عید سے دو روز قبل اپنی زوجہ کو محض اس وجہ سے ناقابل بیان تشدد کا نشانہ بنایا اور قتل کرنے کی کوشش کی کہ وہ پیسے جو گھریلو خاتون نے اپنی محنت سے بکریاں ،مرغیاں ،انڈے بیچ کر اپنے ہی بچوں اور گھر پر عیدالفطر کے موقع پر خرچ کرنے کے لئے جمع کئے تھے وہ اس درندے کے حوالے کرنے سے انکارکردیا، خاتون جان بچا اپنے بھائی کی مددسے ہسپتال پہنچنے میں کامیاب ہوئ اور پولیس کے پاس بیان ریکارڈ کرایا ، بلیک میلنگ اور طلاق کی دھمکیوں کے باوجود جب ظالم شوہر کو پولیس نے گرفتار کرنے کی کوششیں کیں تو دو دن قبل قاری عباس ��ے اپنی بیوی کو بذریعہ واٹس ایپ طلاق دے دی ۔ یوں حوّا کی یہ بیٹی ایک ظالم شخص کے ساتھ سترہ سال گزارنے کے بعد ظلم کا شکار ہو کر اسی گھر سے نکال دی گئی جو اس نے اپنی محنت سے زیور بیچ کر بنایا تھا۔

آپ سے گزارش ہے کہ اس کے والدین کو ڈھونڈنے میں مدد دیں تاکہ یہ ان کو تک پہنچ جائے ۔

Yesterday at approximately 8:08 a.m., I was attacked at my home by an unknown assailant dressed in what appeared to be construction or waste-collection attire. The individual asked, “Are you Shahzad Akbar?” and immediately began assaulting me. The incident occurred in the presence of my family.
Emergency services were called, and I was taken to a local hospital, where I received medical treatment and was later discharged. I sustained facial injuries, including bruising and a fractured nose.
The police have taken cognizance of the matter and have assured me and my family that they are actively investigating this targeted attack and will work to apprehend both the perpetrator and those behind it.

On the advice of the authorities, I am not at liberty to share further details at this stage, including CCTV footage or photographs, as doing so may compromise the ongoing investigation.
I have full faith in the rule of law and in British law enforcement to carry out their duties. I also urge the British government to ensure that England remains a safe place for everyone, including dissidents such as myself.

I want to make one thing absolutely clear: if my views, political comments, or even my ‘face’ is not liked by anyone, such cowardly acts will only strengthen my resolve rather than silence me. Violence will not intimidate me or deter me from speaking out. I will continue to expose corruption, human rights violations, and the erosion of democratic norms in Pakistan.
