As we get ready to welcome over 5,000 students and their families to @QUBelfast next week for Summer Graduation, I want to take a moment to reflect on an academic year that has given us much to be proud of.
In our 180th anniversary year, Queen’s continues to go from strength to strength. This year, we:
🔴 Entered the Top 200 globally in the QS @worlduniranking 2026.
🔴 Ranked in the global Top 80 for Impact and Sustainability (@timeshighered Impact Rankings 2025 / QS University Sustainability Rankings 2025).
🔴 Moved up to 24th in the UK and remained 1st in #NorthernIreland in the @compuniguide 2026.
🔴 Were recognised by students at the @Whatuni Student Choice Awards – Queen's Students' Union was named the best in the UK, and the University was voted among the top institutions for international student experience and career prospects.
We’re also proud to have been recognised as a University of Sanctuary, and to have made major strides in expanding our global footprint with our new campus in #GIFTCity, India, which will open its doors to students in 2026.
Thank you to every member of our university community – our @QUBstaff, @QUBStudents and @QUBAlumni – for making Queen’s such a special place.

Excited to present our timely new book on forced displacement of Palestinian Bedouins in the occupied West Bank. This is a lesser known but by no means less important aspect of Israel's war on Palestine. Shout out to all project colleagues and book contributors (and Hart pub.)
