@paoloardoino@tether Great Paolo! As a next step you must integrate a physical and digital cash-in/cash-out infra for senders and beneficiaries (most beneficiaries are still un/underbanked). This is the reason why traditional remittance companies still control the remittances corridors.
@JoeNakamoto@BitcoinErrorLog Loool.. “He builds liquid + blockstream: not exactly Satoshi’s vision for BTC”. On point, whatever Blockstream says, Liquid is actually against the core values of BTC.
@sytaylor@TokenizedPod@BlackRock Two interesting use cases:
1. No on/off ramp needed. The deposits are already there.
2. If banks converge on a shared rail - say, Lightning Network - we get interoperability across institutions and with the broader crypto users, plus cheap real-time payments.
@aatanacio IMO, el mercado es muy pequeño en relación al monto de inversión y el costo de operar para básicamente todas las industrias - servicios financieros y/o tecnológicos (que se puedan desarrollar aquí y exportar) es de lo poco que hace sentido.
@owenbjennings@nachunja@emcross23 El Salvador is Square’s ideal test-and-learn market in Latam. We run on USD and Bitcoin, 95% of businesses are micro/small merchants, and only 30% currently accept digital payments. We’re building in this space at https://t.co/jGfn0zX1ac, with BTC Lightning payments already live.
@Blockstream@blksresearch@Liquid_BTC Quantum-resistant, but with high counterparty risk 😂 - that’s what you get when you build on a closed, federated Bitcoin sidechain
@sytaylor This is just one perspective on how it could be done. As the co-founder of a digital financial services research and consulting firm (@11FS), being open to different viewpoints is essential - it’s how you understand the JTBD and build truly digital financial services, my friend.
Who is building the “Bitcoin” network (truly P2P decentralized network) for AI agents?
AI agents interacting and learning with other AI agents and IoT devices, and having a self-custodial Bitcoin wallet (LN enabled) to charge/pay to each other is the web 4.0
@jdennehy_writes As a Salvadoran, raised and living in El Salvador, I believe Bitcoin should have never been imposed by the government as legal tender. Bitcoin is freedom at its core, and should be adopted freely without unreasonable restrictions from gov, which is not happening.
