In education, starting with compassion is the key. A foundation built on empathy not only nurtures kind hearts but also lays the groundwork for vibrant intellectual growth.
@DrBradJohnson I’m simple terms, they want to be seen, heard and appreciated. Same irreducible needs of a child. Aren’t we all children in adults bodies? Sadly society does not see the connection.

During #BlackHistoryMonth, we are highlighting Black and African American contributions to the #mentalhealth movement, which are oftentimes overlooked. Visit our Black History Month page to learn more about these individuals and find resources. 🖤🤎https://t.co/kIHf6BRWrL
Black mental health matters.
As we begin Black History Month, let us amplify Black voices, spread culturally relevant resources, and uplift the Black community. Mental health transcends identity; it is a universal journey that connects us all.
You may not know what to say or do in order to support someone battling depression or suicidal thoughts, and that’s okay. Start by listening without judgement and just being present. Sometimes, “I’m sorry that you’re in pain. I’m here”, is all that needs to be said. #StopSuicide
Young people experiencing #MentalHealth challenges deserve compassion and care, not stigma and shame. Organizations like @_beamorg are working to break down barriers to healing for Black youth through education, training, and advocacy. https://t.co/oW26L9cmoX
