📍Pržno, Montenegro -- At the #Berlin Process Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, I reaffirmed Albania’s unwavering commitment to a more secure, competitive, and interconnected Western Balkans.

The security of the Western Balkans and the security of Europe are inseparable. In an increasingly complex geopolitical environment, the answer to our shared challenges lies in stronger cooperation, greater unity, and a more resilient Europe. And for us, it has a name: #enlargement. Not as a favour or a reward, but as a merit-based process anchored in meaningful and impactful reforms, while being also a strategic investment for Europe’s security, stability, and long-term competitiveness.

One of the most important lessons of the Berlin Process is that #European integration begins at home, long before accession. It is advanced through practical cooperation, mobility and people-to-people contacts, mutual recognition of diplomas, connectivity, and the Common Regional Market, otherwise, tangible achievements that improve citizens’ lives, deepen regional ties, and bring our societies ever closer to the European Union.

For Albania, the question is no longer whether the Western Balkans belong in the European Union. That question was answered in Thessaloniki twenty-three years ago. The real question today is whether we all together have the courage, determination, and political will to fulfil Europe’s promise and complete the last part of the unification of our continent.

We owe the next generation more than another promise of European perspective. We owe them the certainty of a European future, built on peace, prosperity, democratic values, and a shared destiny. 🇦🇱🇪🇺

Siguria e Ballkanit Perëndimor dhe siguria e Evropës janë të pandashme. Në një mjedis gjithnjë e më kompleks gjeopolitik, përgjigjja ndaj sfidave tona të përbashkëta qëndron te bashkëpunimi më i fortë, uniteti më i madh dhe një Evropë më e qëndrueshme dhe më e aftë për t’u përballur me sfidat. Dhe për ne, kjo ka një emër: #zgjerimi. Jo si një favor apo shpërblim, por si një proces i bazuar në merita dhe i mbështetur në reforma kuptimplota e me ndikim, duke qenë njëkohësisht një investim strategjik për sigurinë, stabilitetin dhe konkurrueshmërinë afatgjatë të #Evropës.

Një nga mësimet më të rëndësishme të Procesit të Berlinit është se integrimi evropian fillon në shtëpi, shumë përpara anëtarësimit. Ai përparon përmes bashkëpunimit praktik, lëvizshmërisë dhe kontakteve mes njerëzve, njohjes s�� ndërsjellë të diplomave, ndërlidhjes dhe Tregut të Përbashkët Rajonal, pra, përmes arritjeve konkrete që përmirësojnë jetën e qytetarëve, thellojnë lidhjet rajonale dhe i afrojnë gjithnjë e më shumë shoqëritë tona me Bashkimin Evropian.

Për Shqipërinë, pyetja nuk është më nëse Ballkani Perëndimor i përket Bashkimit Evropian. Kjo pyetje mori përgjigje në Selanik, njëzet e tre vjet më parë. Pyetja e vërtetë sot është nëse të gjithë së bashku kemi guximin, vendosmërinë dhe vullnetin politik për ta përmbushur premtimin e #Evropës dhe për të përfunduar pjesën e fundit të bashkimit të kontinentit tonë.

Brezit të ardhshëm i detyrohemi më shumë se një tjetër premtimi për përspektivën Evropiane. I detyrohemi sigurisë së një të ardhmeje evropiane, të ndërtuar mbi paqen, prosperitetin, vlerat demokratike dhe një fat të përbashkët. 🇦🇱🇪🇺

Ministria për Evropën dhe Punët e Jashtme përshëndet arritjen e marrëveshjes për paraqitjen e një liste të përbashkët të partive dhe subjekteve politike shqiptare në zgjedhjet parlamentare të 25 tetorit 2026 në Serbi dhe përgëzon të gjithë faktorët politikë shqiptarë në Luginën e Preshevës për përgjegjshmërinë, pjekurinë politike dhe vizionin që dëshmuan me këtë vendim.

Ky veprim përcjell një mesazh të qartë: interesat e shqiptarëve mbrohen më mirë kur përfaqësimi i tyre politik është i bashkuar, i koordinuar dhe i vendosur. Përfaqësimi dinjitoz dhe efektiv në institucionet e vendit ku jetojnë kërkon unitet, përgjegjësi dhe një qëndrim të përbashkët për çështjet që prekin drejtpërdrejt të drejtat, mirëqenien dhe të ardhmen e shqiptarëve në Luginën e #Preshevës.

Kjo listë e përbashkët duhet të shërbejë si dëshmi se kur bashkohet zëri politik, forcohet përfaqësimi; dhe kur forcohet përfaqësimi, mbrohen më mirë interesat e qytetarëve dhe rritet pesha e tyre në proceset vendimmarrëse.

L’#Albanie et la #France ont construit un excellent partenariat, fondé sur des valeurs européennes partagées, une forte confiance politique et un engagement commun en faveur d’une Europe sûre, stable et prospère.

Nos échanges ont porté sur le processus d’adhésion de l’Albanie à l’Union européenne, les évolutions dans les Balkans occidentaux et l’importance stratégique de renforcer la coopération régionale, la connectivité et la sécurité.

Le soutien constant de la France à la trajectoire européenne de l’Albanie, ainsi que son engagement actif en faveur d’un processus d’élargissement crédible et fondé sur le mérite, revêtent une importance stratégique non seulement pour l’Albanie, mais aussi pour l’avenir des Balkans occidentaux et de l’Europe dans son ensemble.

A distinct pleasure to welcome #Ambassador Eric Wendt to Albania and to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs for our first meeting.

The United States remains one of Albania’s closest and most valued strategic partners. Our relationship rests on shared democratic values, a strong security partnership within #NATO, and a longstanding friendship between our peoples. The American imprint on key and defining moments of #Albania’s history is indelible and remains a powerful foundation for our strong and ever-deepening strategic partnership.

For Albania, membership in the #European Union as the top national priority, and a strong, enduring transatlantic partnership are two sides of the same coin. We remain firmly committed to further strengthening our strategic partnership and transatlantic bonds in the years ahead.

📍Vienna -- It was a pleasure to meet with Austria’s Federal Minister for Europe, Claudia Bauer, on the margins of the High-Level Ministerial Meeting “Slavkov 3 – Western Balkans”.

We discussed #Albania’s EU accession process, our ongoing reform agenda and key priorities in the negotiations, as well as Austria’s perspective on the future of EU enlargement.

I expressed Albania’s deep appreciation for #Austria’s longstanding and unequivocal support for our EU accession path and for the European future of the Western Balkans, a meaningful contribution to building a stronger, more united and fully integrated #Europe.

We also discussed opportunities to further strengthen our excellent bilateral relations and cooperation, building on our close political dialogue and the strong ties between our two countries. 🇦🇱🇦🇹

Today I wished a warm welcome to the new Ambassador of 🇦🇱 Albania to 🇧🇦BiH, Spiro Koçi @ALAmbInSarajevo.

We discussed regional cooperation and its importance for the EU integration of the Western Balkans in numerous aspects, from economic development to security issues.

We also spoke about the next EU-Western Balkans Summit and the opportunities the EU offers to the region, including the Growth Plan with its potential to help candidate countries moving faster on their EU integration path.

Our conversation focused on further deepening the strong partnership between #Albania and #Poland, as well as enhancing cooperation on Albania’s EU accession process.

I reiterated our sincere appreciation for Poland’s steadfast support and its readiness to share valuable expertise and experience as we advance on our European path.

We also exchanged views on key geopolitical developments, including our cooperation within NATO and our continued solidarity with #Ukraine. Our discussions reaffirmed our shared commitment to European security, transatlantic unity, and an even stronger bilateral partnership in the years ahead.

🇦🇱🇺🇦 A very useful meeting with Vadym Halaichuk, First Deputy Chair of the Committee of Integration to the European Union of Ukraine.

We discussed about the situation in #Ukraine, the respective processes of accession negotiations into the EU and the importance of continued cooperation between our countries, including at parliamentary level.

#Albania has and will continue to stand by Ukraine and its people in every possible way, and welcomes the ongoing international diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the Russian aggression. Unity and determination remain essential to achieving a comprehensive, just and lasting peace.

I was pleased to participate in the Inter-Parliamentary Conference on the “Strategic Agenda for EU Enlargement and Albania’s Accession”, organised by the #Parliament of Albania.

EU accession has always been both a technically demanding and politically significant process. Yet recent developments have underscored its broader geopolitical importance. #Enlargement today is about far more than the adoption of standards legislation. It is about peace, security and stability. It is about resilience. Ultimately, it is about the strategic future of our continent. At a time when peace and security can no longer be taken for granted, strategic ambiguity comes at a high cost.

For #Albania, the European choice is neither a matter of political convenience nor a response to circumstance. It is a strategic national commitment and a whole-of-society project that we continue to advance and earn every day. Through a comprehensive reform agenda, we have strengthened the rule of #law, modernised public administration, reinforced democratic institutions, and progressively aligned our legislation and policies with the #EU acquis.

The progress achieved over the past two years has been remarkable. The pace of reforms has been sustained, the momentum preserved, and our capacity to deliver has been demonstrated time and again. As we advance in the final phase of the #accession process, our focus is now firmly on implementation, building a strong track record of results, and ensuring that the benefits of reform are felt by our citizens.

We seek no shortcuts, only a fair, credible and merit-based accession process, with performance remaining the guiding principle for all. Enlargement must continue to be driven by results: candidate countries must fulfil their commitments, and tangible progress must be recognised accordingly. We view accession not as a favour to be requested, but as a responsibility to be fulfilled and an achievement to be earned.

The future of Albania is firmly within the European Union. And a stronger, safer, more resilient and more united Europe is one that includes Albania as a full member of the European family. #Together, we can help build a #Europe that is whole, secure and prepared for the challenges of the future. 🇦🇱🇪🇺

An excellent meeting with Mr Anton Hofreiter, Chair of the Committee on European Union Affairs of the German Bundestag. 🇦🇱🇩🇪

His visit to #Albania could not be more timely. As our EU accession process, our top national priority, advances steadily, our discussion was a valuable opportunity to take stock of the progress achieved through our ambitious reform agenda and exchange views on the next steps ahead.

#Germany has been one of Albania’s strongest and most consistent supporters throughout this journey. We highly value Germany’s principled support for a merit-based #enlargement process and its leadership in promoting a credible European perspective for the Western Balkans.

We also reaffirmed the excellent relations between Albania and Germany and highlighted the importance of continued cooperation between our two countries, including through parliamentary exchanges, with a shared objective: a stronger, more united and more secure #Europe.
