🚨 JUST IN: POLICE RESCUE EX-POWER MINISTER ADELABU’S SISTER and HER TWIN SONS AFTER DEADLY GUN BATTLE WITH KIDNAPPERS

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force (@PoliceNG) have successfully rescued Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, the younger sister of former Power Minister, Adebayo Adelabu, and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, following a high-risk rescue operation conducted on Saturday evening.

The victims, who were abducted on June 3 while en route to school in Ibadan, Oyo State, regained their freedom after sustained intelligence-led operations mounted intense pressure on the kidnappers.

According to police sources, the rescue operation culminated in a fierce gun battle around 1930hrs on June 6, during which two suspected kidnappers were neutralised and two firearms recovered. Mrs John-Paul and her children were rescued alive and unharmed.

Security operatives are reportedly continuing clearance operations in surrounding areas to track down other members of the kidnapping syndicate, some of whom are believed to have escaped with gunshot wounds.

The abduction had sparked widespread concern after the family confirmed that Mrs John-Paul and her children were seized while she was taking them to school in Ibadan.

The successful rescue marks a major breakthrough in the operation and highlights the impact of intelligence-driven policing in the fight against kidnapping and violent crime.

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, backed by Special Operations Forces, have rescued 360 women and children abducted by Boko Haram from Ngoshe community in Gwoza, Borno State.

The victims were kidnapped during a terrorist attack on March 3, 2026, and were freed during a coordinated operation in the Mandara Mountains by the Troops on June 06,2026.

Sadly, two infants died during the evacuation due to the difficult terrain.
