@Kessol @BarnhartIII @nathan_simmons3 @ClayTravis If you don’t attack in football then you’re just standing still big dawg. LBs attack gaps, linemen attack each other, the offense is literally “on attack”. It’s literally just the forcible contact to the head they want to get rid of.

And no flag football necessary I played football before all this targeting bullshit, it was a lot more fun back then as a defender.

Unfortunately we’ve seen it called for a lot less than what happened on that play. Gundy plays conservative too but with a minor lead, just run up the score until the final whistle

@Kessol @BarnhartIII @nathan_simmons3 @ClayTravis No they’re trying to get rid of forcible contact to the head. Everything is ok if you don’t take somebody’s head off their shoulders. Minor contact to the head is even ok. You can destroy somebody if you hit them in the body just stay away from the head.

Per the rules forcible contact to the head of the defenseless player by the opposing players helmet in this video is textbook targeting. Expert analyst and just about every other expert agrees. Idk what to tell ya

@Kessol @BarnhartIII @nathan_simmons3 @ClayTravis Forcible contact is what deems it as a penalty, every tackle is an attack. If their facemasks just barely touched id understand it but when the defenseless players head gets sent back and his mouthpiece flys out id say its pretty forcible contact.

All I’m saying is per the rule that he posted it should have been called targeting.

Facemask is still part of the helmet and yes I agree more dangerous plays aren’t called but at the same time less dangerous plays than that play have been called.

When I was taught tackling it was lower yourself, head and eyes up, attack the core, drive the legs. I’m not a fan of the rule and didn’t make it but if it’s there you gotta call it
