@mancobi@trebletime23@ashmcfc7@footballontnt Well, it seems like we will never agree and I’m sure we are both tired of semantics.
But how you arrived at it not being an abuse of entrusted power, I will never know.
And no: this is about you being found guilty of 114 charges and acting like it’s nothing to worry about.
@mancobi@ashmcfc7@footballontnt That’s true, but as I have already said, after the verdict, you are considered guilty.
I never said it couldn’t be overturned.
Furthermore, a murderer would actually be in jail until their appeal.
But maybe enough of this particular analogy!
@mancobi@trebletime23@ashmcfc7@footballontnt So when you were found guilty of inflating sponsorship deals by tens of million pounds and then lying about it, that’s not the abuse of entrusted power for private gain?
Seems pretty obvious to me mate.
@trebletime23@mancobi@ashmcfc7@footballontnt It’s quite literally corruption mate. Almost the textbook definition of it.
I feel for you, I really do. But trying to wave it away as if it’s no big deal is just embarrassing.
@mancobi@ashmcfc7@footballontnt Yes, murders also continue to plead their innocence after a guilty verdict and appeal the decision.
In the meantime you were found guilty of 114 charges by an independent organisation preseted with the information by both sides.
So sadly, you’re guilty until proven otherwise.
@mancobi@ashmcfc7@footballontnt Well what’s your definition of corruption? A reasonable one for me is ‘the abuse of power and influence to benefit an individual or group of individuals’.
Does that sound like something city did or…?
@mancobi@ashmcfc7@footballontnt I’m sanctimonious because I don’t want corruption and cheating in the premier league? Sounds reasonable.
And I’m not surprised you only want to talk with city fans, because nobody else is going to agree with you.
@mancobi@ashmcfc7@footballontnt You broke the rules buddy. And you broke them by hundreds of millions of pounds. That’s called cheating. Other teams had to abide by the rules. Not sure how much you know about sport but if you allow cheating, it tends to ruin it 🤷
@WomBat21204089@ClarkeMicah Can I ask why you think medical cannabis will either ruin or kill us?
I truly don’t want to diminish the potential harms of cannabis but I’m trying to find reliable data on how many people have experienced psychosis after prescription and I’m finding ~ 1 reported example (UK)
@hidflect@ClarkeMicah This is terribly sad and I truly do not wish to diminish what happened.
But was it caused by medicinal cannabis, prescribed by a medical practitioner, at a specific dose?
That would be more alarming than if it were recreationally consumed, from sources, and at doses unknown.
@WomBat21204089@ClarkeMicah But if cannabis is being prescribed by a medical practitioner for a medical condition, you wouldn’t really be a ‘druggie’, would you?
Otherwise anyone on prescription medication could be labelled as such.
@Tim_Handley_@KonstantinKisin Wait what, sycophants or psychopaths?? I’m not even trying to be a grammar nazi, I want to know what slander you are throwing 😂
@SlimHanks@TheCityRamble In fairness man, it sounds like you kinda agree with me in that if you did break the rules, there should be consequences.
What the consequences should be I don’t exactly know.
But if you let teams cheat and win titles, there’s no incentive for them not to do that in future.
@eddieneutral@TheCityRamble I mean I accept the realities of this but listen, Leicester did it without cheating… and so can other teams.
Just because certain established teams have somewhat of a monopoly doesn’t mean we should just accept cheating 🤷
@justaddparker@TheCityRamble A lot of that seems fair and I do actually feel for the players/ manager.
But the sad reality is, you can’t separate the cheating from the winning.
As an example, Should’ve Lance Armstrong had his titles stripped from him?
If you allow the titles, what message does it send?
@SlimHanks@TheCityRamble We did last season mate, so no worries. I never wanted to see you ‘fall’, but I do want football to be as fair as poss. We see so many instances where it isn’t. When it’s as blatant as this has been, it makes me very happy to see football not succumb to absolute corruption.
