There is so much misinformation around owning Teslas, even till this day:
• No, you don’t get range anxiety. With a wall connector at home, you wake up to a “full tank” every day, and Tesla Supercharger stations are everywhere.
• Teslas make the BEST road trip vehicles because of FSD.
• Total ownership costs are much lower than a comparable gas car when you factor in fuel, and maintenance.
• Tesla batteries are engineered for longevity. They’re designed to lose only 20% of capacity after 250K miles.
• A Tesla is ~8x less likely to catch fire than a gasoline vehicle.
• Tesla FSD can drive you from point A to point B anywhere in the US, including cross-country. It handles all our charging stops, parking, etc.
• With FSD, you just press a button on the display, and the car will drive itself to your destination. You literally just relax.
• On road trips, Tesla Superchargers are conveniently placed along your route in locations where you can eat, shop, and rest.
• Average charging stops take 10–30 minutes. You do not charge to 100%, as that isn’t the quickest way.
• The average price per kWh in the US is $0.18. Charging a Model 3 Premium RWD costs only $14.70 for over 360 miles of range. (Can be way less in some states)
• Tesla vehicles are among the best to drive in winter. Heat pumps warm the cabin quickly and efficiently, while instant torque and traction control provide excellent grip.
• The only maintenance typically required is cabin air filters, tires, and windshield fluid.
• New battery replacements for the Model 3 and Model Y start as low as $8,000 to $12,000, not the “$30,000 to $40,000” some “experts” claim. The battery itself costs about the same as (or less than) a typical engine replacement, but with far less labor involved. Full battery replacements are extremely rare.
• The electric motors slow the car by recovering kinetic energy and sending it back into the battery, so the physical brakes hardly ever get used. They can last onwards of 250K miles.
• Teslas get frequent OTA software updates that add new features, improve performance, and fix issues without a service cost.
• Tesla vehicles have the highest safety ratings in the industry, and rank among the lowest fatality rates. Cybertruck is the safest pickup truck, by far.
• Model 3&Y, and Cybertruck can power our home during an outage with the correct equipment.
Best cars ever.
Tesla Model 3 Glass Roof Structural Test versus a Mercedes-Benz Maybach, NIO ET5, and Zeekr 001.
The glass roof and front A-pillars are among the strongest parts of the vehicle. This is why I drive a Tesla.
My son and I are sitting in the ER alive tonight thanks to my Tesla and God's grace.
On our way home from @theXtakeover we were on the freeway when a wrong way driver hit us head on at freeway speeds.
I remember parts of the accident. Seeing the trucks headlight, my airbag deploying, and the emergency response calling the car.
I escaped through the passenger door to grab my son. All the while other cars were crashing around us.
I am still really shaken but realize that the safety features of my Tesla saved our lives. DPS and firefighters were shocked that we walked away.
This is a true testimonial to how safe these freaken Teslas are. Thank you @Tesla, @elonmusk, the Tesla Engineering Team, and my almighty God.
Be safe out there everyone. You never know when something like this can happen. God speed.
Eight cameras. 36 frames a second. ~2 billion pieces of information in.
Two numbers out: steer, accelerate.
How do you teach a machine to do that?
I made a 20-min explainer on how Tesla built FSD: 14 ingredients, one flywheel.👇
Charging preparations ahead of Hurricane Isaias:
→ If charging at home, charge to 100%.
→ Live availability of Superchargers are in the vehicle's touchscreen or the Tesla App.
→ Pre-storm, we are focused on uptime of Superchargers. Post-storm, our focus is on restoration, and we are prepared to deploy mobile Superchargers powered by Megapacks where access to charging is most impacted.
Amazing FSD maneuver, wow!
I’m at a red light in the middle of 5 lanes of traffic.
My Cybertruck sees an ambulance approaching from the rear… but the intersection is mostly blocked.
So, it turns right across 3 lanes into a safe pocket, leaving a clear lane for the emergency vehicle to proceed without pause.
After confirming it is safe, my truck then merges & continues onto the new road, automatically updating my nav to reflect the unplanned turn.
Has anyone seen FSD do something like this before… this wasn’t just a pull over while driving.
It was a full ‘let’s make a gap for that emergency and keep them on their way’ purposeful action from a full stop.

The @Tesla Model 3 absolutely cooks the new BMW 3 Series (gas).
It is cheaper, much quicker, has self-driving, costs less to maintain, and has better quality. It is also nearly the same weight.
Every Model 3 in the US, Puerto Rico & Mexico now comes with a larger 16" center touchscreen
Additional highlights
– Black headliner for Model 3 Performance, also more range (316 miles, up from 309) & improved peak power at 528hp
– Model 3 Premium AWD accelerates even quicker at 3.8 seconds 0-60 (down from 4.2 seconds)
@tesla_na When are we going to get acceleration boost for the Long Range AWD Model 3s from 2024-present? The rest of the world has the option, but we Americans don’t.
@neverlive1984@TeslaCharging Isn’t it obvious?? If someone wants to attempt to vandalize/damage your car or try to attack you whilst brandishing a knife or a machete, you can immediately pull away before you can get hurt.
Roadster event update
We've been tracking the weather closely with local meteorologists, but given the severe conditions predicted & because this event can only be held outdoors, we've made the difficult decision to reschedule.
New date is October 15. Additional details to follow
Today, at just over 8 years of ownership. Six hundred thousand miles.
Changed brake pads once.
Upgraded to 90kWh pack after error at 666,666km under warranty.
New aircon, suspension arms and struts. Did front drive unit mounts and half shafts last week.
Drives like new. Best car I’ve ever owned. Ask me anything related to service. See the history for a laugh. And people are still discussing the benefits of a Tesla, get with the program later adopters 😂
