@ChongZhang19@ISIMSSociety The highest peak in both spectra is the positive reactant ion peak (RIP) followed by the protonated aceton monomer and the proton bound dimer. The small peak prior to the RIP is a consequence of the remaining humidity in the drift gas.
@ChongZhang19@ISIMSSociety As can be seen in the spectra on the poster, the same mobilities are obtained for both modes - static and MOF. To calculate the mobility I simply used the field of the static mode increased by the factor N.
@ChongZhang19@ISIMSSociety The individual segments are separated by grids. These are intended to ensure that the electric field in the respective segment is homogeneous and constant. The ions should (if the timing is well chosen) always be exposed to the same field strength. @ISIMSSociety
@_MaggieTam@ISIMSSociety Yes, the passive segments are field free. Thus, ions left behind wont move anymore (except diffusion). However, the ions can easily be removed by running a purge cycle after a spectrum was captured.
