I'm Alex Claassen, founder of MARX MARKETING. I opened this X account just a few days ago, so please don't judge my posting style. I used Twitter twenty years ago and swore I'd never come back.

This post isn't meant to be perfect. I left a few mistakes in on purpose. If you can't look past them and keep reading, that's actually quite funny.

The real point is this: most marketers jump straight into ads and clever copy. I don't. I start by looking for the actual problem.

Take the construction company with a nice website and paid ads, but no call-to-action button on their main Facebook page. I spotted it in under a minute. If I struggled to contact them, how are their clients supposed to reach them?

My fiancée actually got fired because of ads I created. They looked so professional the company thought she worked for a real agency — and we were only three weeks old.

I use AI, but I argue with it for hours. I'll generate the same image eighty times until it actually solves the client's problem.

I've done a ton of marketing research and I've studied psychology and human behaviour. But none of it matters if you don't fix the real problem first.

Service gets you smiles. Smiles build trust. Trust builds business.

So let's start there — what's your problem?
