The starting salary for NTT faculty was frozen from 2008 to 2021 - it is now $63,500 (in one of the highest COL areas nationally) with inflation the starting salary should be $80,000. They are expecting professors to accept below-standard salaries while overloading course loads.

@ Wellesley Alums: If you aren't aware - @WOAWUAW (the union for non-tenure track Professors) has begun striking today because the College would not have a good faith negotiation for a fair contract for NTT professors - who teach 40% of classes.

As a reminder, NTT faculty are disproportionally female and young - for a college that prides itself on gender equality and progressiveness their treatment of NTT faculty has been reprehensible
