It is devastating that there has been a downfall of intake for MMR vaccines. If families are told they require a vaccine to visit another country they book the soonest appointment.

Children with measles can develop encephalitis (brain inflammation). Of these some die, others have neurological disability. Mumps causes viral meningitis in children. Rubella in pregnancy is dangerous for babies.

All are preventable with MMR vaccine.
