Many Brits calling immigrants like me names or asking us to leave are not entirely wrong.

The hard truth is too many immigrants took Britain for granted. The establishment stayed silent for votes, and many of us who made a good life here failed to call out the wrongs within our own communities.

We can’t just enjoy the freedoms, the success, the opportunities, while turning a blind eye to the damage caused by some of our own.

Now, the British people are waking up and rightly so.

It’s time for immigrants like me to stand with our fellow Brits, protect this country, speak out, and clean our house.

Otherwise, we should pack our bags because loyalty is a two-way street.

You can’t reap the benefits and ignore the consequences.
