Bucharest - Popa vs Wobker
16 Aug, 07:00 UTC
Pick: Ida Wobker -2.5 games @ 1.88 (Pinnacle).
I’m backing Wobker again. She has been the best player in Bucharest this week and, more importantly, she hasn’t needed a deciding set once.
Her results have been very convincing: 6-2, 6-0 against Buculei, 6-1, 6-3 against Kuhl, 7-5, 6-4 against Simion and 6-4, 7-5 against Todoni yesterday. Even when the sets have been close, Wobker has been the one finding the break when it matters.
Popa is the No. 1 seed, playing at home, and she has much more experience, so I don’t expect an easy final. But Wobker has already beaten several stronger opponents this week and right now I simply trust her level more.
For -2.5 we don’t need a blowout. Something like 6-4, 6-4 is already enough, and Wobker has shown all week that once she gets ahead she is good at keeping that separation.
At 1.88, I prefer the handicap over the shorter moneyline.

Trier - Vankan vs Sesko
14 Aug, 11:35 UTC
Pick: Ziga Sesko -4 games @ 1.88 (Pinnacle).
Sesko's ATP ranking still significantly understates his current level. The 18-year-old is the 2026 Australian Open boys' champion and added the Wimbledon boys' doubles title this summer. More importantly for this matchup, that junior success is now translating very quickly to the professional clay circuit.
He won the M15 Wels title earlier this month and has carried that form straight into Trier. Sesko destroyed Daniel Salazar 6-0, 6-0 in the opening round before beating Luca Wiedenmann 6-3, 6-3. That is just six games dropped across four sets, and he has looked comfortable creating separation once he gets ahead.
Vankan is a much more experienced opponent and his ATP ranking around the low 600s makes this a clear step up in opposition. But his path through Trier has been considerably less dominant: 7-6, 6-4 against Yannic Nittmann followed by a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 win over John Sperle. He had to play three sets yesterday, while Sesko finished Wiedenmann in straight sets.
The matchup also suits the handicap more than the rankings suggest. Sesko's current clay level, confidence and ability to attack return games give him several opportunities to build a break advantage, while Vankan has not been consistently separating himself from lower-level opposition this week.
At -4, we need Sesko not only to win but to create a meaningful gap, and his recent results make that realistic. A scoreline in the 6-3, 6-4 range is enough to cover.

Cincinnati - Wang vs Kudermetova
13 Aug, 16:30 UTC
Pick: Xiyu Wang -3 games @ 1.88 (Pinnacle).
Wang's current ranking does not fully show the level she has produced in 2026. The former world No. 49 is back inside the top 100 at No. 96 and has put together an excellent 32-7 record this season after rebuilding her ranking following injury.
Her opening performance in Cincinnati was particularly convincing. Wang beat Bianca Andreescu 6-0, 6-4, showing the kind of return pressure and baseline control that makes a game handicap attractive rather than just the moneyline.
There is also a useful matchup reference. Wang recently faced Kudermetova in Roland Garros qualifying and won 6-3, 6-3. Different surface here, but the match showed that Wang can consistently pressure Kudermetova's service games and create separation on the scoreboard.
Kudermetova is ranked No. 103 and is good enough to make this competitive, but Wang comes into the matchup with more convincing recent form and already has momentum in Cincinnati.
For -3 to cover, Wang does not need a blowout. A 6-4, 6-4 type of win is enough. Given her current level, recent dominant win over Andreescu and the favorable recent matchup, I like Wang -3 at 1.88.

Kursumlijska Banja - Zolotareva vs Matoula
13 Aug, 10:00 UTC
Pick: Rada Zolotareva -3 games @ 1.93 (Pinnacle).
Zolotareva's current ranking does not fully reflect the level she is showing right now. The 17-year-old is ranked No. 422 in the WTA, but she has an impressive 16-4 record on clay in 2026 and looks increasingly comfortable against experienced professional opposition.
Her run in Kursumlijska Banja has been particularly convincing. She opened qualifying with a 6-0, 6-0 demolition of Milenkovic, followed it with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Maric, and then beat Bertea 6-4, 6-1 in the first round.
That's three straight wins here with 36 games won and only 11 lost.
Matoula is a much more experienced player and sits around No. 316 in the WTA rankings, so this is clearly a step up. But that ranking gap looks less important when compared with Zolotareva's current trajectory and clay-court form.
Zolotareva has been consistently creating pressure on return and separating from opponents once she gets ahead. She doesn't need another blowout here - a 6-4, 6-4 type of win is enough to cover the line.
At 1.93, I like Zolotareva -3 games.

Trier - Sesko vs Wiedenmann
13 Aug, 15:00 UTC
Pick: Ziga Sesko -3 games @ 1.89 (Pinnacle).
Sesko is the world No. 4 junior and the 2026 Australian Open boys' champion, one of the strongest prospects of his generation. He also won the Wimbledon boys' doubles title this summer and has started translating that level to the pro tour.
The 18-year-old already won the M15 Wels title on clay earlier this month and opened Trier with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win over ATP No. 774 Daniel Salazar.
His ATP ranking still understates his current level. With his recent clay form, confidence and rapidly improving pro results, I like Sesko to control enough return games to create separation and cover -3.
