今や彼らは、日本の漫画などで取り組むべき課題として、「ジェンダーの固定観念」、「性的対象化」、「女性に対する暴力」について語っ���いる……これは、より「包摂的」な物語、ファンサービスの減少、そして従来の遠慮のない、無修正で、時にダークな物語とは正反対の、より強い「自己主張的な女性」のテーマを意味する。

『ウィッチハット・アトリエ』はその最たる例であり、作者のユネスコへのインタビューでは、アイデンティティ、インクルーシブ性、障がい、そして「生来の能力」、漫画における女性の役割の拡大、不安定な世界における「女性の怒り」について文字通り語られている……そして、これは実際に国内で制作された物語というよりは、むしろ国連による心理作戦のように見えてきている。

Genuinely it pisses me off how disrespectful it is that Kodansha said there's no prominent women in Manga creation when Rumiko Takahashi exists.

She helped lay the foundation for many manga after. Creating manga like Ranma and Inuyasha that influenced many series to this day
