33 Tory hereditary peers voted against the Employment Rights Bill last week. We lost the vote by 24.
That could mean some of the lowest earners will not get statutory sick pay this April.
We must pass this Bill without delay.
Real British patriots don’t:
1) cheer BBC destruction;
2) trash allies;
3) back Brexit;
4) idolise Trump;
5) echo Kremlin lies;
6) weaken NATO;
7) attack journalists;
8) weaken unions;
9) sneer at experts;
10) sell the UK short;
and call it “sovereignty.”
The fact that a British government hasn't come out swinging on behalf of Canada, a country who's unwavering loyalty to Britain, the then Empire, Commonwealth and Crown since its foundation is nothing short of a disgrace.
Canadians shed blood from the beginning of 2 world wars in Ypres, Somme, Gold, Sword and Juno beaches while other countries waited to get involved when it suited them.
Britain made three mistakes post colonialism, one was not saying sorry for the wrongs it did, the second not cementing the Commonwealth as a trading bloc to ensure food, energy and military security, and lastly giving the Yanks almost every strategic military Base we had globally because of a "special relationship" that's a one way street.
Appalled that members of our union who claim to be Allies would even consider inviting a man with transphobic views to their conference let alone actually do it. Shame on you UNISON Health SGE!
Starmer: "The Leader of the Opposition has been an MP for eight years... I can't recall her once raising this issue [child sexual abuse]."
Badenoch: "As a minister, I would not have been speaking on this specific issue."
Badenoch was Minister for Children and Families.

Going to bed now , secure in the knowledge that for the first time in many years, we have a serious leader for the country. The focus and drive of @Keir_Starmer & @AngelaRayner has paid off. You have to be in power to make change. @unisontheunion
Thank you so much to our guest speaker at conference today Munroe Bergdorf 👏💜
