@adhdjesse I vividly remember being in the gifted program in 3rd grade and having grand plans for my year long project. I was going to grow crystals. I started too late (if at all). I had nothing to turn in at the end. I did not return to the gifted program in 4th grade.
Just finished ep68 of C1 …between that and current events in C3 @CriticalRole has really been dealing me some emotional damage lately, damn. And less than 24hrs before I get to experience more! 😅 #voxmachina#bellshells
Do you ever do like, typical adult things and just think, “who gave me these powers?” I have no idea what I’m doing and yet I’m allowed to act like I do and people just go along with it. Anyway, I was trying to be responsible and joined the PTA. Somehow I’m now the class parent?!
@robbiedaymond@matthewmercer I started with C3 and totally thought you were just one of the original cast. I was so sad when you left and I realized you were a guest! You fit in perfectly with them and I loved watching you.
@lithrian1@matthewmercer Same! I stayed up till 4am because I had to start it late and then couldn’t stop till the end! I forgot I had to get up early and help move a bunch of heavy printing equipment. I’m exhausted 😅
Hubs was eating cookies tonight and 1yo wanted some, so he broke off a piece for her. Then he asked her to hand me a full cookie and handed that to her too. She headed for me, big cookie extended, and then right before she got to me, she handed me the small bit. That’s my girl 😂
I’m 2/3 of the way through Dark Age and due to a sense of dread so overwhelming I “read” two pages without even remembering a word, I’ve decided to close the book and come back to it when I’m more mentally prepared for my inevitable heartbreak. Thanks @Pierce_Brown you monster.
4yo playing with ponies “I’m gonna kick you in the paninidoms”
Me, unable to resist: “what’s a paninidoms?”
4yo: “oh it’s a magical word from New York” 😂
Vigils and protests and calling our senators and donations to charities are all great and I encourage them, but none of those things are directly letting those children know that someone in the world cares for them outside those cages/walls.
Can’t stop thinking about the kids at the #border ...I know they won’t allow donations but can the kids hear people outside the walls? What if a giant group of people went and sang them songs in their language just to let them know they aren’t forgotten? Like nightly lullabys.
I mean, there’s a LOT of little children in there. My guess is a good number of them are familiar with lullabys. Or someone with a big ass microphone/amplifier could read them bedtime stories from outside the gates.
@isaacinspace They took away the big cheesy smile and made it awkward instead and basically ruined my ability to show my true emotions via emoji 90% of the time. It was a sad day.
“Who don’t make stuff on their own” is so condescending and narrow minded. I work like 80+ hours a week **making stuff of my own** and I disagree with the quality of the ending. Apparently you can’t be both?
And what’s left is a fan base that doesn’t want to bother either. I went to ridiculous pains to make sure my kids well occupied before the start of each episode so I wouldn’t have to wait to watch it. But now as the series finale looms... I haven’t even given it a thought.
The “Remake @HBO#GameOfThrones” petition isn’t about actually remaking it. It’s to express how disappointed we are in a way that might actually resonate. I feel personally slapped in the face by writers who very clearly no longer cared.
I mean, as an author with a story not nearly as seen or cared about as Game of Thrones, as I wrote my book 2, went back to make sure the things I said in book 1 would not be contradicted. It’s like they didn’t bother.
