‼️🇪🇸Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) Reports First Personal Data Breach Executed Using an AI Agent

The Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) received what it describes as its first notification of a personal data breach allegedly carried out using an autonomous AI agent powered by a well-known LLM.

The agent reportedly searched for vulnerabilities, accessed the target system and continued probing the application, autonomously adapting its actions until it found weaknesses that allowed it to modify personal data and access invoices.

The AEPD said the information is based on an initial notification and requires further analysis.
