My fellow Kenyans, please STOP sharing and resharing the monthly updates from embassies, be it Australia, UK , USA et al . As long as we are NOT at Reconsider Travel, you need not worry .I even see senior players always sharing the same overnight and over again.
What is this about my fellow Kenyans and urge for bad news ?
Folks, the day s. ..hits the fan. it's never pretty .
Have a look at Egypt. More than half the country is Reconsider travel, but do you see Egyptians screaming from roof tops ? Those selling outbound tourism from Kenya, you are busy sending Kenyans. Do you ever tell them about the advisory levels there, but you are happy to paint Kenya where you earn your living as dangerous.
Look at SA its all dangerous zone. As per the map.again those selling outbound in Kenya for SA. Have you told them the level of SA advisory? You dont, but you are quick to share and reshare the same on Kenya .
TZ next door is not any better. In fact, Mpox is listed on their advisory. If you are to follow the advisory, TZ would also be a no-go zone .
During Jake Grieves-Cook days as KTF Chair, we managed to get embassies of source market to map out Kenya . What we need to lobby with Australia is the Watamu Malindi area. Irony is that the embassy staff will be in Watamu every other weekend. I hope this will guide you and stop sharing and resharing, asking if it's true.
Knowledge is key, so guide everyone as an industry player, more so your agents and guests who are asking. Guide media Kenya and speak from authoritative point .
Wishing you all a pleasant Sunday.and as always, I choose to remain an optimist

Best selling brand new cars in Kenya in the year 2024.
I remember telling someone here that the Isuzu Dmax outsells the Hilux.
Prado, Fortuner & Forester sales are probably because of government.
It's interesting to see Mahindra on the list.

We have woken up to a new week and new month, both showing lots of promise and positive energy. Which is why I have to start this week by expressing how overwhelmed and humbled I feel by the trust bestowed on me by my regional professional colleagues, who this past weekend honoured me in no small measure, by electing me the new President of the East African Law Society.
Not many things can compare to getting the mandate of a multinational and diverse group of people and institutions. But having been extended this responsibility, I start my tenure by assuring my colleagues that I will not let them down and will make the best of this opportunity to help grow a strong and responsive regional bar. I reiterate that we, the people of the East African region, share the same destiny, with similar challenges and hurdles. Our triumphs and victories are integrated with our dreams and aspirations. By that same token, our legal field experiences similar evolutionary trends. We are called upon to stand up and move with the times.
It is on this note that I promise to be a consequential and reformist President, harping on the society's guiding principles of Excellence, Integrity and Customer-centricity. With the support of my colleagues, I know I already stand on the shoulders of giants and will fear no force or hurdle.
I extend a hand of friendship and unity to my opponent in the election, knowing that the EALS ship will never be too full, on its voyage, for anyone. With the elections now behind us, we have to act with dignity and class, and shut the door to any disunity and divisions. There is no denying that a strong EALS hinges on a solid rock of unity in diversity and the strength of each individual and corporate member.
Let me conclude by congratulating Kenya's President William Ruto for being elected Chairman of the East African Community, while also extending my best wishes to Former Prime Minister of Kenya, the Rt Hon Raila Odinga, as the EAC candidate, in his bid to become the AU Commission Chairman. We see our region growing from strength to strength and making big moves on the continent, and the EALS will not be left behind.
I thank you all and look forward to working with you in making the change that we desire becoming a reality.
God bless you. God bless @ealawsociety
