I am proud to call Sufian both a colleague and a friend. This is a hugely inspiring read. While a great story of overcoming adversity, it should not be this way. Thank you @unleashing_me for sharing your #Leadership story 👏

@TomBewick@NPorter_@XXFactorFacts@get_further@bphillipsonMP My crystal ball 🔮 says that the CAR will retain the Condition of Funding E&M requirement. 00000s more young people now have these gateway qualifications, who would not have without. It has transformed life prospects and opportunities
Another day, another research report highlighting that low prior attainment is the significant barrier preventing progression to level 3 courses - this time highlighting the barrier to STEM for disadvantaged young people. 100% agree with the call for a 16-19 Student Premium.
Today at @OakNational, we’ve made available something we don’t think has ever been done before:

I was pleased to ask a question of the Education Secretary of State @bphillipsonMP today.
Since 2016, @UCWeston has provided higher education in our town, enabling people to get high-level, high-value skills and knowledge, closer to home.
Under @UKLabour, the @officestudents has an opportunity to deliver a sharper focus on breaking down barriers to opportunity and improve life chances in towns like Weston. I hope OfS takes this opportunity eagerly and with both hands.
Thank you, Secretary of State, for the opportunity to ask my question and to raise the profile of Weston's growing #HigherEd sector.
