📚 Zine Spotlight🌟
Check out this week's staff pick, recommended by Vivien who works as an Academic Skills Consultant here at Salford.
"My recommendation is 'Poor lass' (issue 7) which is about different people's experiences of racism-one in which the writer found themselves inadvertently part of a far right group and others about having their names mispronounced and instances of 'microagressions'.'"
Find this zine in our library on the ground floor of Clifford Whitworth. Visit the link in our bio for more info on our zine maker space. ✨
Please can you fill in my friend's questionnaire for her dissertation on non-use of public libraries? You just need to live in the UK, be between 18 and 24 years old, not have used a public library in a year or more, and have 15 minutes spare please 📚

We are incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of Salford artist Harold Riley. Harold received an honorary degree from @SalfordUni in 1977. He seen here with Prince Philip at an art exhibition at Salford in 1980.
Our condolences to all Harold’s family and friends.
⭐Zine of the Week🌟
Catheters in Spring by Betty Quinn
Recommended by Alex, our Library Archivist. See what she says about the #Zine in the comment below
You can find this Zine and many others from our Zine Maker Space at Clifford Whitworth, located on the ground floor 📚
"I found a few copies of this in the Zine Maker Space drop box a couple of weeks ago. It's about living with a catheter. I love how it uses the simple format of a zine to get across a really personal experience that is probably very hard to talk about."
