@MorganLfei_XIV Still was a massive part of that campaign tho despite it not saving anyone, just as it is in wow. I don't really care about the end result and rather more how it is presented. It just feels so detached from what Diablo used to be.
@supgoopi______@arcanistsaphras@mikeoxbroad Are you gonna agree that a lot of vanilla and tbc sets are colorful and toothless aswell or are you gonna be spineless and ride the popularity train by shitting on anything newer.
@Aedrareforged@tiucaner Na it's nostalgia, vanilla is overrated and has as many problems as any expansion ever released, but it gets forgiven because it was the first game and ppl got rose-tinted googles on. Still a good game tho.
@icyveins Honestly, none of them, all of them got problems. Wow evolving and getting new content is one of if not the best parts of the game, I may not agree with a lot of the changes but playing one exp forever would be boring af.
@ryanalxander91 1000% there has for sure been some darker elements (there still are), but the general tone has always been way more light hearted and whimsy.
@Narsharantor@ryanalxander91 I mean barely, how much of the green gear from early expansions and ridiculous and colorful, the same for a lot of blues and epics. Even things like Murlocs are so much of a meme in wow compared to WC3.
@soulsobreezy I mean as long as you are not forced to do them to gear over and over, I am fine with having them around. It's more about having to do them on repeat on alts or for bis gear.
@Art_lobao@soulsobreezy I mean you are pretty alone in that, most ppl after playing it for 6 months are pretty done with the previous raid, its different in classic because you clear the raid in 45 min and don't have to progress fights ever.
@doodlesproot@jora_wow An item set while looking cool for its time, looks extremely cartoonish and colorful in wow compared to the D4 depiction. It's not like wow was this dark and gloomy game even back then.
@chadmelvin29@Brave_Aegis Ye everything works together for sure, I think for most regular players the gameplay and theme matter way more than the lore/story, but it all plays some part, and Wow has always been better at "world building" rather than telling the story in a great way for the average player.
@thundahstahm@bee_mellon If you don't like ARPGs for the end game D4 is probably not for you. It's way more like D3 than D2. But no game is really like D2 on the market right now, not even PoE that tried early on.
@GVMERGG@Brave_Aegis 1000%, there have for sure been times where wow gameplay has been worse but it's for sure not the last couple of expansions. It's such a small % that care/know even half the story of any given exp.
@chadmelvin29@Brave_Aegis Hottake the story has been mid or none existent (classic) since Warcraft 3, ppl that want the story just want another type of game than what wow has always been a gameplay focused game taking place in a cool world.
@chewyeclipse Barely had any bugs in wow or D4 since launch, not saying they are not happening but not to such a degree that it happens more than other games on the market. Shit happens when porting from testing to launch what matters is how quickly games fix the bugs.
@anniefuchsia@MikotoMunakata While I see this point I think for 99.9% of collectors in this game that ship sailed as early as Cata or MoP, I think both m+ and casual pvp lacks a lot of minor rewards a long the way to add motivations and goals for ppl to push or play the modes more outside of gear.
