#PowerBI #Fabric Dear Power BI gurus, does exist some best practice about Power BI desktop updates policies? It is advisable to allow all users to download always the most recent release? How to avoid the nightmare of different versions across the team?

[Alfons Gonzalez @Alf_BI]

I can´t believe @SAPSupportHelp How it is possible that after filling a survey about a case (not really solved but this is another history) engineer contacts us complaining because low rate will impact its performance ? I am sure this surrealistic scenario violates privacy rules

[Alfons Gonzalez @Alf_BI]

@bob_duffy Completely agree. DWH looks the poor guy of the fabric family….

E.g: No sense to waste time studying minor details about KQL syntax that you can quicklyvanswer checking docs

4/ Both practical cases were linked to the implementation of medallion architectures. Another topic that you should well prepare!

That’s all. Good luck!

I have recently completed #dp700 Data Engineering Solutions Using #Microsoft #Fabric (beta). Here are some comments about it for these who may be useful
1/ 63 questions / 2 hours (includes 2 practical cases with 9 questions)
2/ Question distribution by artifacts (approx) ….

EventStream/Eventhouses 30%
Lakehouse/Notebooks/Spark 30%
Pipelines/Dataflows 15%
Admin/monitoring 15%
Warehouses/SQL 10%

Imho real-time-intelligence is overrepresented..no idea why. Prepare this part carefully

3/ when studying be aware of the possibility to access #MSLearn

@paul_turley Our legacy systems….

[Alfons Gonzalez @Alf_BI]

@paul_turley I found frustrating how difficult is to manage complex deployments for certain fabric items such as data pipelines. Connections can’t be overwritten across environments. In general Fabric has a lot of nice features but after year it does not seems yet quite mature to replace
