Telegram begins rolling out its non-custodial Gram Wallet to first users
@telegram CEO Pavel Durov said on Monday that Gram Wallet has started reaching a select group of users, with a gradual rollout to the app's billion-plus user base over the coming weeks. The launch lands on the last day of the summer deadline Durov set when he announced the wallet in July.
Validators have approved the smart contract behind the wallet, per @durov, meaning future upgrades won't require users to migrate. The non-custodial wallet is built around the-open-network:native, the @ton_blockchain token that was renamed from Toncoin in June.
