Before joining TIL, I struggled to find clear and accessible information about fund structures. In fact, learning about it was one of the reasons I joined TIL.
Now, we’ve made it available for everyone—easy to understand, accessible, free, and all in one place!
Check it out and don’t forget to subscribe for more valuable insights. Let’s keep learning together!

The new Corporate department at TIL Partners is off to an excellent start. 🚀
My new Partner Ray Koh and his team have fully embraced the TIL culture, including mandatory wig-wearing. At least his AI version has.
Forming a new partnership can be scary, but we're already integrating and scaling (and having fun).
As a reminder, we now serve fund clients on the fund formation side AND the deal work side.
Ray and his corporate team work with investors, funds, and companies alike on various financings, M&A, and outside general counsel work.
It’s almost the firm’s two-year birthday, but in some ways, it feels like we’re starting anew.
2026 is going to be one of the books.
Treat your team like family.
This doesn't mean you have to be loosey-goosey, accept sloppy work, and lower your standards. Sometimes you'll need to fire people.
But it does mean that you meet your people in person (wherever they are), get to know them on a deeper level, and actually care about their progress, their families, and their goals.
You'll spend hours, days, weeks...years with them. You must prioritize them.
I love our team.
Building a culture is outrageously fun.
Best part of starting a business.

Does your boss also give you books every time he sees you? Mine does. 🙂
This one was for the #4 TIL Retreat in Cabo. 🫶

It's astounding how rare this is. 😅
I've found this to be the case when hiring for various positions (lawyers, paralegals, and more).

@investing_law@jasonlk The point of this was the experiment itself, which turned out to have positive outcomes, both in knowledge and in money. A modest ROI in savings, but a huge ROI in learning.
We're hiring! 🎉

The verdict? 👇
