I rarely use foil these days. When I make baked potatoes I place them uncovered or wrapped on the middle rack in the oven with a sheet tray on the rack below lined with foil. That’s about it these day. Otherwise it’s parchment.

For those saying it makes bacon taste like paper, maybe you are using waxed parchment paper.
