In New York, I met with former U.S. ambassadors, whom I thanked for their contribution to promoting Romania and for their work in strengthening and deepening our bilateral relationship.
The Romania–U.S. partnership is a lasting achievement, built over generations on solid foundations that we continue to strengthen today.

The meeting was also attended by U.S. ambassadors who have represented the United States in other European countries and at various multilateral organizations, as well as representatives of think tanks, all friends of Romania and knowledgeable partners with a deep understanding of our country.

We discussed our main priorities: cooperation in the field of defense, expanding the U.S. economic presence in Romania, and strengthening the transatlantic alliance.
