Children who question their gender are particularly vulnerable to black and white thinking, social contagion and rejection of societal norms.

Trans ideology, like any extreme ideology, ticks all of these boxes and tunnels young people (who often turn out to be same-sex attracted) towards blocking their puberty.

Freedom of speech is a fundamental academic freedom and it must be upheld. Equally, legitimate and lawful protest has an important place in university life. The task is to maintain both.

Especially at events open to the public like this, it is an important Oxford tradition that any disagreement is expressed in a civil and respectful way.

Rather different from the low days of @HJoyceGender @CaiusCollege
