Taiwan imports nearly all of its energy, and Beijing knows it. So, I introduced the Taiwan Energy Security and Anti-Embargo Act to take that pressure point off the table.
Here’s what it does:
⚡ Redirects U.S. LNG directly to Taiwan ☢️ Backs next-generation nuclear power that can’t be blockaded 🛡️ Hardens Taiwan’s grid against CCP cyber and physical attacks 🚢 Federally insures ships so hostile powers can’t scare off carriers 🔍 Requires a full strategic assessment of U.S.-Taiwan energy security
Beijing's strategy has always been to use Taiwan's energy dependence as a chokehold, cutting off the supply chain the free world depends on before a single shot is fired. This bill makes clear that strategy will not work.
