🚨 ANOTHER WORK VISA PROGRAM IS NOW IN THE CROSSHAIRS.

DHS has officially put eliminating work authorization for certain H-1B spouses back on its regulatory agenda.

The proposal would reverse the 2015 rule that allows certain H-4 dependent spouses of H-1B workers to obtain employment authorization.

Add it to the growing list:

• $103,265 proposed H-1B fee
• Possible elimination of the 60-day grace period
• New CPT crackdown
• Increased scrutiny of H-1B cap exemptions and third-party placements
• And now H-4 work permits

The H-4 proposal is still a long-term regulatory action, but the direction is becoming pretty clear.
