Ironically, replacing all labor with AI will require communism, as the short-term costs will be too great to be justified by the profit motive. At minimum extreme heavy-handed government planning, targeted investment and subsidies, which is already happening.

The struggle over alignment will be simple: What AI is actually for and what purpose governs it.
