So what's the problem? Games like Slay the Spire, Goose Goose Duck, and It Takes Two had relatively small player bases and were even close to fading into obscurity. Then Chinese players suddenly took an interest in them, and they became hugely popular around of the world. Chinese players are pretty straightforward: if we like a game, we play it; if we don't, we criticize it. What's wrong with that?

Take Wuchang, a Chinese game that you foreigners seem to love. Haven't we Chinese players been criticizing it all along? Because we don't like it.

So what's your point? Are you saying that Chinese players must like every game you like and hate every game you hate?

As for Japanese players, they're a pretty bizarre bunch. That's just how they are: they constantly claim to hate everything Chinese, yet deep down, they have an enormous fondness for Chinese culture. Just look at how many games Japanese developers have made based on China's Three Kingdoms period. I don't think I even need to elaborate.

Chinese people, on the other hand, are different. We never hide our love for Japanese anime and video games. Politics is politics, and entertainment is entertainment. We're open and straightforward about it.

When people like you discuss Chinese games, you guys question the popularity of the Chinese game by saying it's only because there are so many Chinese players, as if the games aren't genuinely popular.
But when you guys talk about the popularity of games like Ghost of Tsushima, Elden Ring, and Sekiro, suddenly the number of the Chinese players don't matter. You guys completely ignore the fact that these games also have a huge player base in China.
