Release Snuggles Now
A military veteran’s family dog has been locked in a kennel at Pima Animal Care Center for nearly a year.
Not for a pattern of attacks.
Not after a behavior evaluation
For one bite. On his own property. While doing the job Anatolian Shepherds were bred to do — guarding livestock and family from predators.
The person bitten was a grandmother. She recovered. She has publicly asked for him to come home. The children want him home. The veterans who own him want him home. They offered stronger fencing, electronic containment, a behaviorist, and every restriction the county could invent.
Pima County’s answer has been: keep him. Charge the family tens of thousands in boarding. Deny visits. Deny walks. Deny proof of life. Push a death sentence.
That is not public safety. That is a government that would rather kill a dog than admit it overreached.
Sergeant Snuggles is not a stray. He is not a repeat offender. He is a working guardian dog taken from a veteran household and warehoused like contraband while taxpayers fund the cage.
Mercy is not weakness. Alternatives exist. Sanctuary exists. Supervised return with conditions exists.
Death is the one option that cannot be undone.
Pima County Board of Supervisors. PACC. County Administrator.
Sign the agreement. End the stall. Send this dog home.
A nation that thanks its veterans on holidays and then confiscates their family dog for eleven months is not serious about honor.
@pimacountyaz Please honor this family by sending Snuggles home. Please honor this family the way they honored our country. @JenniferEvn22@POTUS
Not a SCAM! This is a real family. @seanhannity Sean Hannity has interviewed her on his podcast! This is a real veteran’s family fighting to bring their dog home. I wonder where this rumor came from???? I’m betting someone from Arizona in the county government if I had to guess.
Someone is spreading rumors that #SaveSnuggles is a scam?
WHAT!?
We sure wish Snuggles was HOME—not locked in the Pima County animal shelter since last October, not to mention the 20k in fees the shelter has charged the family
Any doubts? Look at @JenniferEvn22 page
I WILL NEVER FORGET WHAT BIDEN HARRIS DID.
5 Years Ago our troops abandoned, leaving many behind for private veteran groups to rescue from enemy lines.
Two such left under Taliban control were military dogs Atlas & Chaos. There were many more.
I will never forget.
Anatolian Shepherds and Great Pyrenees will literally attack bears.
That's why we use them to protect our food supply.
You can't judge them by the same standard as you might judge a cocker spaniel.
America, make your voices heard 🗣️
Let every official in Pima County knows how cruel it is to lock a dog away for nearly a year of his life in a cold cell—with no activity and no family allowed to visit.
This is government overreach! 😈
#SaveSnuggles
This is cold, it’s cruel and it’s unlawful! This family’s rights have been violated by #PimaCounty As Americans they have rights and those rights are being violated! @johnrich
Dear Saint Francis of Assisi please help Snuggles as you did with the Wolf of Gubbio. Snuggles has been mischaracterized and Divine intervention is needed. Help all those in a position to free Snuggles have grace and trust in the Lord. Amen
I haven't seen these rumors, but let me squash them. I've met the family. I've been to their home. This is 100% legit and heartbreaking.
Here's Lucy with Snuggles' family.
So many of us have pets and cannot imagine this nightmare. Who knew the government could be so corrupt and heartless. Snuggles is a living being who deserves to be home with his family. Injustice is a what’s being served! #PimaCounty
