As someone who has suffered with skin conditions all my life, I know how hurtful bullying can be. Hopefully Skye has a brilliant career with Kilmarnock and proves all these absolute idiots how good a player she is
Please send your love and support to 16 year old Skye Stout from Scotland, and don't let the ignorant bullies win. Yesterday, the official page of the Scottish club Kilmarnock women's team announced that the club had signed a contract with 16-year-old midfielder Skye Stout. A grassroots player signing her first pro contract, should have been a moment to cherish for her, however Skye was forced to endure ridicule from ignorant and disrespectful fans who began to humiliate her over her facial acne.
Things escalated to the point where the club decided to delete all posts mentioning Skye Stout in an effort to stop the bullying from haters.
Having had #eczema since birth I can quite confidently say it would have helped me to have someone to talk to. For many years I had real issues with self confidence and being self conscious about my skin. Speak to people about how you feel.
In this edition of Ask the Ecz-perts, we discuss what parents should consider when trying to decide if their child with #eczema might benefit from seeing a #MentalHealth professional.

Amongst these top tips, I’m allergic to both fish and avocado which both actually make my #eczema flare.
The problem with eczema is what works for one person doesn’t work for another and there are no real miracle cures
One of the worst parts of having #eczema is the stress cycle. Get told that stress can make eczema worse, have a flare for any one of a million reasons, get stressed about the flare, extra stress makes the flare even worse. Just awesome 👍
The mental impact of living with eczema can be enormous.
This #NationalEczemaWeek, we've created conversational resources to help you discuss the mental impact of eczema.

@MARKHERENOW Hi Mark, yes still on 3 weeks and doing ok. Got a bit more itchy towards the end of the 3 week period when i initially started but that’s largely passed now. If you’re 7 months in i’m guessing it’s working well for you 👍
So far, so good on reducing the frequency of my dupixent/dupilumab injections for #eczema . I may even be a little less pink (well at least til summer)
Just back from seeing my dermatologist. I have had a lot of success injecting dupixent/dupilumab ever fortnight so she now wants me to try reducing it to every 3 weeks. Hoping my #eczema doesn’t suddenly flare over the next week!

@savesins There is nothing to be afraid of. I have been on it for 3 years and it has been great for me. Hopefully it works well for you. The worst bit is getting the injection and/or doing it yourself but you soon het over that. Good luck!
@james80_ My understanding is she’s keen to test whether a reduction reduces any of the side effects I experience like pinkness of the face. As i’ve been very stable on it for a few years now she feels it’s worth testing the water. I’ll return to fortnightly if there are issues
Wet wraps can help break the itch-scratch-damage cycle by providing a cooling, protective layer that prevents damage from severe night-time scratching. They're usually only used on areas where #eczema is most troublesome, but can be full-body wraps.

Super helpful for #eczema sufferers.
One things that massively frustrates me is when any patient comes out a dermatology appointment, or any medical appointment for that matter, not understanding what’s been discussed due to jargon. This just shouldn’t happen!!
@james80_ Great to hear. I’m fortunate that I’ve been given the choice by my dermatology nurses as well. 50:50 also good on a cold day as it gives an extra layer of cosiness 😂
Applying my usual coating of 50:50 moisturiser this morning and it got me wondering what your preferred #eczema moisturiser is? I prefer the slimy ones to the creamy ones but my clothes have a different opinion!
