I knew all you could offer after a son, a brother, and a husband is killed is empty condemnation, while your son is abroad having lunch and relaxing with his Turkish friends or wherever he is living.
It is with profound grief that I condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the killing of a civilian today in Daynille District by government forces. The victim was exercising their lawful right to peaceful protest. Several others were also reportedly wounded during the crackdown.
We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and pray for the swift and full recovery of all those injured.
Those who took to the streets today were unarmed civilians expressing legitimate grievances. No opposition forces were present among the demonstrators. The only armed actors at the scene were government security personnel deployed under the authority of the federal government.
Among the witnesses to these events were the respected area MP Faiza Jeyte, as well as multiple television stations covering the demonstrations.
The use of lethal and excessive force against peaceful civilians constitutes a grave violation of fundamental rights, including the rights to life, peaceful assembly, and freedom of expression. Those responsible must be held accountable.
The federal government, led by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, bears direct political and moral responsibility for what occurred today in Daynille.
The detention of this young woman simply for expressing her opinion is a clear indication of how HSM has violated the democratic rights of the youth, who are 75% of the population of our country.
Just a reminder of how time is running against HSM, coming from a man who once faced a similar situation himself. The burning question, however, is whether HSM has the willingness to listen to the oppositionโs concerns, or if he will instead choose to satisfy his own ego and steer the country toward chaos.

Thank you for the prayers! Please donโt leave out those in Muranga, Nyeri, Kirinyaga who are hungry, drunkards and the children with ndutu for of lack soap. Those in Nairobi slums forgotten by their leaders with no toilets and water and children feeding on garbage in Dandora.
This is an issue that demands serious attention from NFD voters, who should choose their leaders based on merit and accountability not tribal loyalty or corruption so the real problem can be addressed.
What a shame. I personally don't agree with H.E GACHAGUA @rigathi on many things. I even believe he is tribal bigot. But in the last three weeks Gachagua brought to the fore a very important national question...corruption/theft by the political elites in NFD and low quality leadership saddled with the people. The media cannot boycott him because they disagree with him. The media expresses an opinion only when rendering an editorial. This was a mere interview...a question and answer session. They should have interviewed him and asked him all the hard and difficult questions they had in mind. Boycotting Hon Gachagua by NFD media is STUPID act of journalistic cowardice.
The Curriculum Department of the Ministry of Education,Jubaland, in collaboration with @windle_som conducted a training of Educators/Champions to challenge structural barriers and gender biases.
@EngNaaji Imagine a somali person who is celebrating the downfall of a brother in foreign country only because of qabil affiliation.
That is how down we have progressed
