You ever think how when our grandparents listen to that ritzy jazz and they’re like “this takes me back years to that club” and us midwestern millennials will be like “man this takes me back to portillos” lmao
USC marching band when:
USC gets a first down
USC scores a touchdown
The other team scores any points
USC loses by 30
A player is injured
The National Anthem plays
A meteorite hits the football field killing everyone but the band
Hate to say it but it seems like Indiana football’s success has broken a faction of our fanbase’s brains. Unfortunately, the jealous angst from that group is loud.
Here are the facts…
We finished 10-3 last season and #16 in the final rankings. Now we’re 9 spots out of a playoff in mid-November and 10-3 is on the table again.
If you aren’t celebrating that, your expectations are simply unrealistic.
Bret Bielema should have menu items named after him from Tuscola to Farmer City to Gilman to Danville. He’s done what most said was impossible…he’s resurrected Illini football.
We have alumni like the generous Larry Gies pledging support to the tune of a 9-figure donation. We’re selling out games left and right. We’re sending players to the league.
The way things are trending, we’ll be in a playoff soon enough. Believe it.
