An Egyptian general and breast surgery registrar at South Tees NHS Foundation Trust has been suspended from the medical register for four months after lying about his training.

Dr Ahmed Abdelghani submitted certificates for courses and events he had not attended during appraisals between 2021 and 2023.

He admitted lying but said "he was under difficult circumstances at the time."

The tribunal accepted "he was previously used to informal appraisals in Egypt."

He remains employed by the Trust.

Three times the Parole Board looks at the Rochdale grooming ringleader and says: no remorse; refuses rehab; believes child abuse is acceptable; has tried to seriously injure another prisoner.

Three times they judge him too dangerous for discretionary release.

And yet, after the magic “two‑thirds” point in his sentence, the Ministry of Justice shrugs and presses the automatic release button anyway.

This isn’t a tragic one‑off, it’s how the system is designed to work: public protection is conditional, automatic release is absolute.

Four German girls under the age of 14 were drugged and raped in an apartment in Halle, Germany, by underage migrants from Mali and Portugal.

Police arrested four boys aged 13, 14, 15, and 16.

Two of the victims required emergency hospitalization.

The three suspects aged 14 to 16 were arrested on prosecutors' orders but were later released, while the 13-year-old was released earlier because he is below Germany’s age of criminal responsibility.

Authorities say there are no legal grounds for detention because the suspects have fixed addresses and are not considered flight risks.

🚨 BREAKING: Teenage migrant terrorist Muhammad Billal has been sentenced to 13 and a half years in prison for plotting a mass terrorist attack with a gun.

Muhammed was released on bail following his arrest and attempted to flee the country.

After downloading a secure messaging app and chatting to contacts he went on to buy plane tickets to fly to Somalia via Dubai so he could train at a Islamic State terrorist camp.

Muhammad Billal, who lived in Nelson, Lancashire, had researched how to buy weapons and downloaded maps of locations including military bases in the UK and a college in his local area.

He also conducted online reconnaissance of potential attack locations, including churches, synagogues, busy railway stations and Manchester United's stadium.

Defending Billal, Andrew Morris said the defendant was "vulnerable" and had been "brainwashed" as a teenager after coming to the UK from Italy with his parents when he was 13.

Swiss farmers planted flowers between their crops and watched pest damage drop by over half. The UK is now running the same trial across 15 farms. The reason this works is embarrassingly simple.

A Swiss study on winter wheat found that fields with wildflower strips had 40 to 53% fewer leaf beetle pests than fields without. Crop damage dropped 61%.

The mechanism is simple. Wildflowers feed hoverflies, lacewings, parasitic wasps, ladybugs, and ground beetles. Those insects eat the aphids, beetle larvae, and caterpillars that farmers would otherwise spray for. A few meters of wildflowers hosts an unpaid pest control crew that would jump at the chance to whoop some aphid ass.

In apple orchards where no insecticides had been used for five years, plots with wildflower alleyways had 9.2% damaged fruit. Control plots without flowers had 32.5%.

The UK is now running a five-year trial across 15 farms placing 6-meter flower strips through the middle of fields, not just at the edges, because the beneficial insects can't reach the center of a large field otherwise.

This works the same way in a backyard vegetable garden as it does on a commercial farm. Plant native flowering species near your tomatoes, beans, and squash. The pests still show up, but the predators show up too.

The most chilling line in the Shabir Ahmed case isn’t that he raped children.

It’s that, 14 years later, parole judges say he still refuses to accept guilt, still believes it’s “acceptable to sexually abuse children”, STILL poses a high risk of reoffending – and the state’s response is: “sorry, automatic release, nothing we can do”.

This isn’t justice.

This is a bureaucracy so obsessed with sentence formulas and legal autopilot that it will knowingly release a self‑declared danger to children rather than admit the system it designed is broken.

When a man is too unsafe for parole but “safe enough” for compulsory release, that isn’t law – that’s moral bankruptcy dressed up as procedure.

Nandito Badea 21 who carried out the stabbing was jailed for eight years while getaway driver George Stana 25 received 12 years at the Old Bailey

The pair flew to London specifically for the March 2024 attack conducted reconnaissance eight times and fled laughing to the airport after leaving Zeraati bleeding in the street

Simon Levy 40 was accused of a violent sexual attack on a trafficked sex worker in Tottenham in January last year but the case was closed months later after the victim was not well enough to be interviewed due to drug withdrawal

Levy then allegedly murdered Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo 53 in March and Sheryl Wilkins 39 in August with the trial continuing at the Old Bailey where he denies the charges including previous convictions for sexual assault

These guys pleaded guilty to GBH with intent + firearm possession. Sentences: 18–21 years each + extended licence.
