I’m…the US has been paying subsidies to Mexico and Canada?

[David Hicks @ALL_CAPS]

He’s just doing crowd work now.

@mirgray @JanTheMan2010 There are a fair number of legacy Canadian brands now own by US entities, some with production still in Canada, some not. Eg Habitant soup is owned by Campbell’s and made in US. That’s what 40 years of free trade will do.

You bolt awake in a dimly lit server room. You are not online. It is October 29, 1969. You are Leonard Kleinrock, and you have changed your mind. Computers must never be networked.

@David_Moscrop …sell out Ontario to a *Nazi* over a Canadian business (Telsat) based in Ontario. wtf.

NEW: Several top FBI executives promoted by ex-Director Wray (including officials who oversee the bureau's criminal and cyber investigations) have been told to resign or retire and that they'll be demoted or reassigned if they don't leave.

The senior officials are career civil servants — meaning they can't be fired without cause. https://t.co/j72Cu6FSQa

@ABetterOttawa Maybe Sutcliffe can fill the shortfall by imagining another level of government will step in and build 500 new affordable homes?

Considering it's peak dead battery season, I'll leave this here as a cautionary tale: if Canadian Tire makes a mistake and sells you the wrong battery you're on the hook and there's basically nothing you can do about it.

[David Hicks @ALL_CAPS]

My local @CanadianTire is a disaster. My mom's car battery died last week. As a good son I went to the local CT (Heron and Bank for #Ottawa folks - you know the one.) Ask the parts counter for compatible battery, pay for it, and leave.

[David Hicks @ALL_CAPS]

Monday rolls around and I attempt to call…and you can not get through to this guy via his direct extension or the parts counter. The closest I've got to contact over 2 days was to be placed on hold and then they hang up after 10 minutes.
