We are a social enterprise offering dance sessions to support health & well-being with a focus on older people continuing to lead independent, expressive lives.
‘A perfect storm of inaction’ 13% of white boys on free school meals make it to university. Shocking statistic highlighting how ‘diversity’ politics need to address worsening reality for disadvantaged working class white boys #socialmobility#diversity https://t.co/KMw1gY1NXc
Was fun working with the lovely Anne George to make dance videos for people to join in at the Ageing Well Festival. Dance at home like no one is watching! Well done @TorbayCDT for keeping the festival on this year and lots of great digital content!
The Ageing Well Torbay Festival – a celebration of ageing will this year be virtual with a variety of events, talks, arts and crafts, music and exercise being broadcast via https://t.co/d7jyUEIdz6 and @rivierafm@Theatrepaignton@TNLComFund
Sonia Friedman “without sector-specific support to cover our temporary crisis, we are being abandoned by a government content to throw in the towel,” This is why we’re marching Sat 3rd Oct & supporting #WeMakeEvents on Wed 30th Sep. Join Us #SaveTheArts https://t.co/vdBAeAfwIZ
"Theatre has been viable for thousands of years. Yesterday’s announcement from the Chancellor that our industry is not viable (whatever that means) represents an almighty blow" https://t.co/KIihyCAGTF

Hi #RishiSunak. I've been thinking about what makes a viable business. Here's a little story for you.
Barbara is a clarinettist. After 20 yrs' training & highly competitive auditions, she won a job in a prestigious London orchestra. As well as playing at the Royal Albert Hall 1/
..one member aged 95 said she couldn’t be more excited to be dancing with others again..
And there was a fair bit of hilarity, manoeuvring with face shields, hearing aids, glasses and hats!
Thanks @Theatrepaignton for your #FindingYourFeet support for our dance group to come together after shielding. Important to keep exercises and activity levels up for our participants and your means a lot to the whole group...
Pleased to be working with Wellmoor to develop and deliver #MoveMoor, a programme of virtual dance classes for older people to maintain strength and balance and enjoy moving & socialising with others whilst at home.

Words have a way of defining relationships. The act of prescribing suggests an imbalance of power between the giver and receiver. And the term social prescribing is a total oxymoron if there ever was one.

If you focus on sickness, you’re going to end up with doctors as the key actors. If you focus on wellbeing, you’re going to end up with communities as the key actors. #rekindlingdemocracy
"Health professionals can recommend yoga to older people to promote physical function and mental wellbeing if there are no clinical contraindications, but there is currently insufficient evidence to recommend yoga specifically for preventing falls."
