Elon Musk was historically a moderate Democrat and had a good relationship with President Obama, who visited SpaceX in Cape Canaveral. Elon Musk even stood in line for six hours to shake Obama’s hand when Obama was running for President.

But the Democrats have become the party of division and hate, so Elon could no longer support them and chose to vote Republican. Now, they’ve resorted to violence, death threats, shooting up Tesla stores, and burning down Superchargers are definitely not “legitimate forms of protest”

I remember growing up thinking that the President of this great country was the epitome of what it meant to be an American. Even more so, the best of us as a human being.

Someone whose entire being was devoted to serving something greater than themselves.

Someone who constantly tries to better themselves because they understood that, by nature, even they were flawed.

The idea of someone being The President meant that they were the role model that embodied the ideals that we should all strive to be.

Someone that is accepting of others.

Someone that is open to others beliefs.

Someone that believes in the rule of law.

Someone that believes in the strength of their word.

Someone that is kind.

Someone that wants to help others not as fortunate as they are.

I am struggling with the state of things. I cannot reconcile that so many people think that someone that is a rapist, a convicted felon, a liar, a thief, a convicted fraud, a predator, a serial philanderer, someone that consistently belittles and attacks anyone and everyone that he sees as beneath him, someone who constantly sews hate into people, a former president that is still under multiple indictments, and someone who is clearly not kind can have such overwhelming support.

How does anyone tell their child that this is a person that they could strive to be?

Political differences have never bothered me. Policy differences are easy to reconcile.

The character of a person is everything and I’m so very disappointed.

Anytime someone says Teslas cannot handle a natural disaster like a hurricane, I take it VERY personally.

I endured a category 5 hurricane while my Tesla Solar and Powerwalls survived 100 MPH SUSTAINED winds for hours, THEN powered my house without any grid power for EIGHT DAYS.

My house had roof damage on THE ONLY SIDE WITHOUT SOLAR PANELS. I am convinced the solar panels actually protect your roof. They are impact resistant, stronger than the wood roof that is for sure.

One solar panel even was cracked, but it still worked and operated like normal. My system produced solar energy at PEAK levels. The hurricane power washed the solar panels so they were cleaner than they have ever been. Plus, the post hurricane weather was beautiful. It was sunny every single day and the atmosphere was cleansed.

I was producing more than enough energy to power the entire house AND charge my Tesla.

Being able to enjoy the AC, hot water, cook on the stove, do dishes, wash clothes, EVERYTHING, while my entire neighborhood is completely flooded was a very humbling experience. I still remember the simple joys of being able to make a cup of coffee in the morning when I didn't even have grid power. PRICELESS!

The return on investment for Powerwalls is not something you can calculate. It's something you have to EXPERIENCE. Being able to take a hot shower when my neighbors don't have that luxury was something I didn't take for granted.

On top of it, the excess solar energy was able to charge my Tesla so I was able to safely evacuate as the water kept rising.

I thought Teslas left owners STRANDED if there was no electricity?

I thought Teslas left owners stranded in stop and go traffic?

I thought Teslas left owners stranded during an evacuation?

NOPE!!!!!

I lived it all, you can't tell me otherwise when I experienced it first hand.

The Tesla ecosystem is the ultimate luxury after a natural disaster like a hurricane.
