Speaking yesterday during the third Panel of the 5th National Public Relations Symposium 2026, Allen Ayebare, Chief Manager, Corporate Communication and Marketing at Centenary Bank, challenged communication professionals to move beyond measuring outputs and focus on metrics that demonstrate real business impact.

Contributing to the discussion on "Communicating Value: Demonstrating Impact through Metrics and Dashboards," she emphasized that communicators must first understand what matters most to leadership and align their measurement with the organization's strategic priorities.

"Measure what is important to the C-suite. Every communication activity should be tied to the organization's key objectives, whether it's customer retention, customer satisfaction, business growth, or employee engagement," she said.

Allen also highlighted the importance of using the right tools and dashboards to generate meaningful insights, noting that communication professionals must move beyond tracking media coverage and engagement to demonstrating how communication influences business outcomes and supports informed decision-making.
