If skin bleaching isn’t rooted in self-hatred, why haven't we seen a trend of white pple bleaching their skin to become Black? The "preference" arg falls apart when u look at the direction of the trend. It’s a survival mechanism or a rejection of self, nt just a beauty choice.
The Uganda Red Cross Society, with support from the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), provided essential Non-Food Items (NFIs) to 190 families affected by severe hailstorms and flooding in Kawaach and Namalu sub-counties in Nakapiripirit District and Lorengcora Sub-county in Napak District.
The response reached 100 families in Nakapiripirit and 90 families in Napak whose homes and household belongings were damaged or destroyed by the disaster. Families received vital relief items, including jerrycans, blankets, mosquito nets, soap, plates, cups, spoons, and forks to help meet their immediate needs and support their recovery.
The assistance aims to restore dignity, improve household well-being, and help affected communities resume normal living conditions as they recover from the impact of the floods and hailstorms.

🎒 Cross-border movement of children from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to Uganda to access education services is common in border communities.
🏘️ Many children who cross through border points are members of communities residing on the Ugandan side.
🤝 Volunteers from the Uganda Red Cross Society conduct community outreach activities, delivering 🦠 Ebola risk communication and prevention messages while engaging children and families to strengthen awareness and promote protective behaviors.
❤️ You can partner with us to further strengthen community-level interventions and help protect vulnerable communities.
