@BMcGrewvy He's simply taking her question at face value. If it's true that her parents disowned her for being bisexual, then I'd say she is in fact a victim of intolerance. I can easily imagine Ross answering her parents in a similarly sympathetic way according to their side of the story.

@MichaelLouisTh1 Thanks, that's helpful. I wonder if people are even going as far as "good or bad" or if they are just stopping at "friend or enemy." Today I'm seeing a ton of what looks like people making quick friend/enemy judgements based on how people are responding to the memorial.
@MichaelLouisTh1 I know several very good people - friends I've known for years - who are very troubled by the praise Kirk is getting because the content they're being served up by their algorithm is painting a very different picture of who Kirk was.

@AdrielTweets I don't really agree with Dale's post but it's true that we often unconsciously view "having a personal relationship with Jesus" as an individualistic endeavor divorced from a wider body of believers. I don't think he worded it well, but that might be the deeper issue underneath
