A 7-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl have lost their father.

Philadelphia Police Officer Shane Seiber. Remember his name.

Forty years old. A husband. A father. Ten years serving his city.

Early Saturday, October 10, Seiber and another officer responded to a report of a man with a gun in West Philadelphia. Authorities say they were ambushed as they approached a porch.

Seiber was shot three times. He died at the hospital with his wife and family beside him.

The second officer—a 33-year-old father of five—was shot TWELVE times. He survived surgery and remains hospitalized in stable but serious condition.

Authorities say the accused gunman also fired at nine responding officers. Eric Lewis, 35, now faces murder and 10 counts of attempted murder. He is being held without bail.

Every emergency call asks someone to step into danger. These officers answered.

Their families deserve more than a news cycle of sympathy. They deserve sustained support, a community that remembers, and justice pursued with the full seriousness this attack demands.

🙏 Pray for Shane’s wife and children. Pray for the wounded officer and his family.

And when the headlines move on, keep saying his name. 🕯️
