@ABSeedman At least we know if this farming thing gets boring you'll have a career in comedy. 🤣
We saw ice on the hay around most of the pivots at picture butte this morning. It will be interesting to see if we can see that damage through the next few weeks.
Day 1 of Ag Expo ✔️
A lot of talk today about higher input costs. Fertilizer recs are getting out of hand, and commodities just aren’t penciling
You’re not wrong to be concerned but you’re not out of options either. Good agronomy still wins.
Congratulations to my daughter and our newest agronomist. She took her CCA test today, passed both the international and the prairie provinces exams. I looked through my pictures and realized she always has the camera out, I got this one of her working on our garlic crop.
GMO corn vs NonGMO? Yes! Our field trial is open for viewing. Over the years RoundUp Ready has been losing its value as we need to mix so many other chemistries with it + paying for traits we don't need. NonGMO corn starts at $100/bag less. Come out & see for yourself. Repost pls
@BrandonAngle5 Definitely seeing a lot of stage-y crops out there 😂 a lot more crops have a decent shot at beating crop insurance though and that's always a good year 👍
Dear Barley. We are in a drought. Yes we just had a beautiful 2+ inch rain but 3 baby tillers seems excessive, no? How much rain do you think we will see before harvest? 😂😂

A grasshopper walks into a bar. The bartender laughs and says, "Hey, we have a drink named after you!"
The grasshopper looks at the bartender, with a look of extreme confusion on his face, and says, "You have a drink called Steve?"
One of the most common themes we heard at #agexpo2025 last week was that farms are having a hard time coming up with a plan that works with the budget. Not a lot have their #plant25 plan in place yet. Where do you stand as spring approaches?
Collaboration is highly underrated. So many people are worried about gatekeeping every little thing they forget about the magic that happens when people come together. This week was incredible. The deep dive into soil science and the conversations afterward has been fantastic 👌
Aftermath of yesterday's windstorm - 100 k winds brought the neighbors hay to our yard. Glad there was no major damage. There is no shortage of entertainment in this country.
Is it June or October? Am I soil sampling or crop scouting? These fall rains decided to push for a second crop of canola. -1 here last night and you'd never know it. These plants are happy... now... why is canola such a baby in the spring? 😂😂
